What we collect on this website

The enquiry form takes your name, company, email, phone, the service you selected and your message.

The careers form takes your name, email, phone, the role you are interested in and whatever you write.

The newsletter takes your email address, and records the page you signed up from and the time.

AskCALX takes the question you type. If you ask for the answer by email it also takes that address.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.

Who else sees it

The enquiry and careers forms are delivered by Web3Forms, a form delivery service. Your submission passes through their systems on the way to our inbox.

Newsletter confirmations and AskCALX email copies are sent through our own mail server.

Our website and services run on our own server in Germany, operated by Contabo.

We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing.

Why we hold it

To answer what you asked. That is the whole purpose of the enquiry and careers forms.

To send the monthly update, if you asked for it. You confirm by email first, and every issue carries an unsubscribe link.

Where you become a client, separate engagement terms and our professional and anti-money-laundering obligations apply. Those are set out in the engagement letter, not here.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements: two years, then deleted.

Job applications: one year, unless you ask us to keep them longer.

Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

AskCALX questions: kept in a log so we can improve the service. Do not put client names or confidential figures into it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it.

Write to [email protected]. We reply within thirty days.

These rights come from Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

A word about AskCALX

AskCALX is a research tool. It searches published UAE tax law and guidance and quotes what it finds.

Answers from the public desk are automated. They are not formal tax advice and no one at CALX reviews them before you see them.

Anything we act on for a client is read and signed off by a person first.
